2020 Trés Bien GSM Blend
The wine name: Trés Bien
Trés Bien is French for “very good” or “excellent”. Tres is also Spanish for three. Since this wine is made from three grapes and is excellent the name seems to fit quite well. Enjoy!
Visual
Nice red hues with a hint of orange (from the mourvedre)
Aroma
Strawberry, dried meat, floral and herbal tones. The three grapes combine to provide a nice set of aroma markers.
Taste
Smooth and silky. Dry but nice fruit forward with just a hint of vanilla.
Barrel: New French Oak, 30%, medium toast
Trés Bien was aged in French oak barrels and monitored closely to impart a 50% new French oak taste. This foundation gives the wine a luscious blend of spice, vanilla and slight char.
Pairings:
A delicious wine to serve with grilled meats like lamb and pork, savory dishes with mushrooms and olives, rustic bread and spicy sauces.
